Terms of Service
Effective October 16, 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between Slipstream Software (“we,” “us”) and the organization or person using SlipstreamTime (“you”). SlipstreamTime is a hosted service for tracking time, managing clients, projects, and pricing, and creating and sending invoices (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
1. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when you sign up and keep your login credentials secure. The person who creates your organization’s account is its first administrator and is responsible for the users they invite and the access they grant. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@slipstreamtime.com if you believe your account has been compromised. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
2. Your data
You own the data you and your users put into the Service, including client records, time entries, expenses, pricing, and invoices (“Your Data”). You grant us only the limited rights needed to host, process, back up, and display Your Data in order to provide the Service to you. We do not sell Your Data or use it for advertising. How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for Your Data being accurate and lawful, and for having the right to give it to us — including any personal information about your own clients and staff.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive, including sending fraudulent invoices;
- try to access another organization’s data, or probe, scan, or test the Service’s security without our written permission;
- interfere with or overload the Service, or use automated means to access it except through features we provide;
- resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties except your own users; or
- copy, modify, or reverse engineer the Service, except where the law expressly allows it.
4. Third-party services
The Service can connect to services run by others, such as Intuit QuickBooks Online and payment processors. Those connections are optional and are made only when an administrator turns them on. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that provider’s own terms and privacy policy, and we are not responsible for it. If you connect QuickBooks, you authorize us to read and write the QuickBooks data needed for the features you use (for example, customers, invoices, and payment status). You can disconnect at any time from Settings.
5. Subscription, trial and fees
The Service is a monthly subscription, priced per organization. New organizations get a free trial (currently 30 days) with no card required. To keep using the Service after the trial, an administrator subscribes from the Billing page; subscribing during the trial doesn’t end it early, and the first charge happens when it ends. Subscriptions renew automatically each month and are charged to the card on file until cancelled.
You can cancel at any time from the Billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid month, and you keep full access until then. If the trial ends without a subscription, a payment fails, or the subscription ends, your account becomes read-only: you can still sign in, view, and export Your Data, but not add or change it, until the subscription is active again. We may change our prices with at least 30 days’ notice before the change applies to you. Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your card details.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and your data backed up, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add, or remove features. If we make a change that materially reduces the Service, we will give you reasonable notice.
7. Ending your use
You can stop using the Service at any time, and you can ask us to close your account and delete Your Data by writing to support@slipstreamtime.com. Before you leave, you can export your data using the Service’s export features (such as invoice PDFs and CSV reports), or ask us for help. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms or if needed to protect the Service or other customers; where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. After an account is closed, we delete Your Data from the live system, and it ages out of our backups within the retention period described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The Service is a record-keeping and invoicing tool; it is not tax, legal, or accounting advice, and you are responsible for checking the invoices and figures it produces.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from or related to the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose or US $100.
10. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from Your Data or from your use of the Service in breach of these Terms or the law.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will notify account administrators by email or in the Service at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction.
13. General
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
